中国五名金花入围里约奥运

        71日,国际网联在伦敦正式公布里约奥运会网球项目入围名单,男、女各64名单打球员以及32对双打组合获得了参赛资格。

    在女子单打方面,目前中国排名第一(世界排名第63位)的张帅凭借排名直接入围,两届大满贯女双得主、伤愈复出的彭帅则是凭借保护排名入围。78日又传来好消息,世界排名第72位的王蔷收获大惊喜,成功递补入围女单参赛名单。此前中国的“金花们”在奥运会单打赛场还没有奖牌入账。

    女双方面,中国则是拿到了两席满额参赛资格。郑赛赛(双打世界排名第16位)与徐一璠(双打世界排名第18位)携手作为组合入围,而张帅与彭帅由于已经获得单打参赛资格,作为组合参加双打也自动获得席位。2004年希腊雅典奥运会中李婷与孙甜甜的女双折桂震惊了世界网坛,并拉开了中国网球迅猛发展的序幕。十余年间中国网球取得了巨大的成功,并打造了属于自己的“黄金时代”。在此期间,中国“金花们”共拿下了7座大满贯——李娜(两座单打),郑洁与晏紫(两座双打),彭帅(两座双打)以及孙甜甜(一座混双)。中国网球最近的一块奥运奖牌来自于2008年的北京奥运会,郑洁与晏紫携手拿到了季军。

On July 1st the International Tennis Federation (ITF) announced in London the selection of the field of 64 singles players& 32 doubles teams that will compete at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games.

In singles China placed two ladies led by Chinese #1 Zhang Shuai (World #63) and two-time grand slam champion Peng Shuai (World #264) who over the last year has battled back from back surgery and received entry into the Olympic draw based upon her cumulative two-year performance. Young Wang Qiang (World #72) received an early Christmas present being added to the Olympic list on July 8th. China has never medaled in Olympic singles competition.

In doubles China placed the maximum two teams led by the duo of Zheng Saisai (World #16) and Xu Yifan (World #18). By virtue of their singles qualification, the team of Zhang Shuai & Peng Shuai received automatic entry into the doubles field. At the 2004 Athens Olympic Games the team of Li Ting & Sun Tiantian shocked the tennis world by capturing Olympic gold that set off an explosion of tennis growth on the Mainland and a decade of unprecedented international success, commonly known as China’s “Golden Era”, with Chinese women players capturing 7 grand slam titles led by Li Na (2 singles), Yan Zi & Zheng Jie (2 doubles), Peng Shuai (2 doubles) & Sun Tian Tian (1 mixed doubles). China’s last Olympic tennis medal was won by Yan Zi & Zheng Jie at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games when the “Spice Girls” took silver.
